* The Blockbuster has finally reached there booking in limit with 170 drivers now set to do battle at S.t Columb on August 26th. Here is a booking in list for around 130 of the drivers:)

I will put up the remaining 40 drivers when i have them, but the field so far is full of big names and stars. This meeting looks set to be one of the most memorable meetings in the southwest for ages.




* We apoligise about the lack of updates recently as we couldnt log into homestead to update the site. We are back on track now (so to speak) and hope to keep it more up to date!!!

* As of 21/6/01 Westworld have a total of 77 bookings for Blockbuster 3. In this total are 8 Hitmen, 7 Motley Crew, 45 Lips, 6 Ian 'Ringo' Starr, 57 John 'Basher' Broad, 66 Dave Spooner, 100 Paul Lockyer, 225 Rich Edmunds, 382 Danny Hunt, 734 Kevin Hooper, 591 Simon Ballard, 778 Paul May and defending champion 82 Winkle. Suicide Squad 96 Kev Wilsher also said last year that he might be doing Blockbuster 3. Westworlds promoter Eddie James has told us that drivers are advised to book in quickly as it looks very likely that they will fill the 150 booking in spaces available.


* 266 Ian Meaker has revealed that he has a Mk 4 Zodiac Hearse for the caravan race at Smeatharpe on the 8th July. He has already raced a Ds420 hearse at Crasharama, an AMC Javelin at Bristol's Thunderbolt and a double ended Metro at Metro Madness.


* 4 Bod Squad will be at the unlimited Wednesday night fixture at S.t Columb on the 27th of June. 734 Kev Hooper, 778 Paul May , 469 Ken Peters and 744 Jake Carless all plan to race Mk2 Granadas.

* The next meeting at Westworld is on 24/6/01 and it will see the return of unlimited bangers. It will also be a qualifier for the Blockbuster 3, meaning that someone will get automatic seeding into the Blockbuster final on the 26th of August 2001. * This site is looking for spectators who regularly visit S.t Columb and S.t Day to report for this site. It wouldnt have to be every meeting (although that would help). Anyone intrested could they please e-mail Darren at RACINGMORGAN@aol.com.




* Over 40 Metro's are now booked in for this Sunday's Metro Madness *WCQR* at Smeatharpe. Along with 3 Bod Squad will be Shane Brown, Danny Hunt, Phil Powell and Lib James. Riard Beere the points leader is away for the meeting so this is a good time for other drivers to catch up.




* Around 45 drivers have already booked in for Blockbuster 3 at S.t Columb in the late summer. Included in this list are around 7 Motley Krew.

* There has been an rumuor floating about that the Suicide Squad will be making an appearance at Crasharama for the first time since the 99 Alternative World Final at Smeatharpe.


* The Mayfield Mob from Scotland will also be coming to Crasharama in numbers. Captain James Dillon claims to have something extra special for the event. Also from Scotland will be Hoagy Wallace. Cumbrias Dean Steele will also be there with 2 cars.One for Sunday and one for Monday, with one being a Rover P4.


* 88 Speedy Read and 145 Sonic Dicken have confirmed they will be at Crasharama. Speedy hopes to use an XJS. Also from East Anglia will be Turbo Tom Reynolds and Paul Coker who hope to be racing Volvos.


* 5 Hitmen and 2 Blooz Boyz have also booked.The Blooz Boyz were going to race elsewhere but have finally decided to come to Crasharama.


* 5 team Sweeney have now booked in for Crasharama,with at least 3 of them racing Jags.


* 4 Bod Squad will be racing at Crasharama. 3 of them will be racing mk2 Granadas with 778 Paul May changing his mind and will now be racing his Blockbuster Jag.

* Crasharama is going to be a meeting for material as several drivers have old or rare cars for the meeting. First off 778 Paul May has a Mk1 Datsun Laurel, Dominic Gumbleton plans to race an Austin 3 litre, 266 Ian Meaker plans to race a DS420 Limo, Rob Brokenshire has a Merc Limo, 123 Paul Bryant has a Merc aswell , a 1974 280E, 149 Martyn Ford and 264 Rod Foster plan to race Jags with Team Sweeney planning to take Jags aswell. 263 Jon Wyatt will race a Ford Falcon with 224 Steve Williams planning to race a Vauxhall Ventora. Most of the Farm Boyz drivers plan to have something special for the day , which will be kept a secret right up to start time!

* 68 Dan Fitton of the Farm Boyz has revealed to us that he has a very rare Ford Maverick, similar to 778 Paul Mays which he will be racing at Smeatharpe's Crasharama. He said that the person he bought it off said that there were only 4 left in the U.K.

* We have emailed Autospeed asking for if they had any early entrys for this years Crasharama. Andrew Carter replied saying this ''Some of the names coming to Crasharama, are obviously, 382 Dannt Hunt,120 Shane Brown, 66 Dave Spooner, 254 Richard Beere, 404 Rob Mills, 421 Nutty Nige, 162 Brett Ellacott, 901 Jon Stoneman, 428 Richard Regan, Shaun Dyer of Team Mental,
198 Marcus Goldsmith, Bod Squad drivers 778 Paul May 734 Kevin Hooper, 263 Jon Wyatt,721 Kenny Gabriel and 199 PhilPowell.


These are just some of the very early lists, there are many more to come,
including some surprise visitors''


With these drivers hoping to race at Crasharama this year, it should make for an exciting meeting especially as ' There is more to come'!!!!!




* My main man at last years Crasharama 428 Richard 'Grumpy' Regan will be at Crasharama this year in his old colours. He has decided to leave the Hitmen earlier this week.

* The eagerly awaited annual event that is CRASHARAMA will soon be upon us at Smeatharpe. Autospeed have explained why they have moved the original Mid May date to an end of of May date as they hope to capture alot of long distance travellers on the Saturday. let them race at Crasharama on the Sunday and even possibly race the day after on the Monday if they wished.


Again as last year the prize money will be a healthy £2000 with £1000 going to the winner of the Crasharama final. Again, an assortment of money will be given to the drivers with the best paint jobs, unusual cars and wreck of the day.


Autospeed would welcome any driver to the event as they are trying to beat the 100 car mark this year and beat the record entry of cars at a Crasharama meeting of 56 cars.

* Bod Squad (Prince Of Wales) drivers have returned home with half wrecked cars. 734 Kev Hooper's cortina was already used from the Ipswich ORCi team meeting. If his Cortina and 778 Paul May's Marina coupe are okay to race again they will race at Smeathrpe tommorow in the under 1800cc meeting.

* Bod Squad drivers 778 Paul May and 734 Kev Hooper will be racing at the Boneshaker.




* The Blooz Boyz will be at the Boneshaker as well. The next day they are booked in for the Battle Of Britain team meeting at Sheffield.

* The Easter Monday meeting at Smeatharpe will almost certainly be going ahead. The bangers are Under 1800cc.




* Sorry for not having a report from S.T. Columb from Sunday. Someone who was supposed to go down did'nt there fore we havent got a report from the meeting. If you would like to see the results visit Autospeed's site.


* The last news update said that only 778 Paul May was going to race at Mildenhall for the BBA Supreme but both Bod Squad drivers raced at Mildenhall with both having Mk2 Granadas. Apparently 734 Kev Hooper was taking the place of banned world champion 120 Shane Brown.

* Bod Squad driver 778 Paul May will be contesting for the BBA Supreme championship at Mildenhall on saturday night. The next day he plans to race at S.T. Columb making it a busy weekend for him.

* Unlimited bangers have been added to the April 8th meeting at S.T. Columb make it a four formula meeting. Much interest has surrounded the meeting with stars such as 254 Richard Beere, Blooz Boyz driver 263 Jon Wyatt, 100 John Ward, 113 Mark Grant from Team Sweeney and several others showing keen interest to race.

* The April 1st meeting at smeatharpe has been called off due to the foot and mouth crisis. Autospeed have said that they will try and get the meeting on 16th April (Easter Monday) to go ahead. The meeting on the 8th April at S.T. Columb and the meeting at Ringwood on the 13th of April WILL be going ahead although there are no bangers at these meetings.

* Smeatharpe's world champion 120 Shane Brown has been handed a three month ban from ORCi for a follow in he produced whilst driving under a black flag at the London Open Championship at Wimbledon.
This means that he will not be able to race until the 18th April.

* A new 4-way team event will be coming to the westcountry in 2001 & 2002. The all Sierra affair will be held on the 13th May at Westworld and the 21st October at Smeatharpe. For more information visit Autospeed's site and look in there news page.
